Committees

A committee is subordinate to a deliberative assembly which is organized with only part of the council members. Usually, the council sends matters into a committee as a way to explore them more fully than would be possible if the assembly itself were considering them. Committees may have different functions and their types of work differ depending on the type of the organization and its needs. 

內政委員會
Internal Affairs Committee

The Internal Affairs Committee scrutinizes the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and provides a platform for discussion on education, environmental affairs, health services, home affairs, social welfare, media affairs, etc.

外交及國防委員會
Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee

The Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee scrutinizes the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense, and provides a platform for discussion on national security proposals, foreign cooperation plans, etc.

法案委員會
Bills Committee

The Bills Committee considers the general merits and principles of the bill concerned as well as its detailed provisions, and may consider any amendments relevant to the bill. 

公務員事務委員會
Civil Servants Affairs Committee

The Civil Servants Affairs Committee advises the Federal President on the appointment, promotion, conduct and discipline of civil servants.

食物安全委員會
Food Security Committee

The Food Security Committee coordinates measures for food security management, report to the Council on food security relating matters, provide guidance to citizens relating to food security affairs, propose regulations relating to food security affairs, engage cooperation with other organizations which is safeguarding food security, etc.
